Doing right when it hurts.

"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for His wrath; for it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will requite,' says the Lord."
-Romans 12:19

God has promised that if you will put your trust in Him to bring about the justice in your life, He will pay you back for all the unfair things that have happened to you. That means you don't have to go around trying to pay everybody back for the wrong things they have done to you. God is your vindicator. Let Him fight your battles for you.

When you truly understand that you don't have to fix everything that happens to you, you don't have to try to manipulate the situation or control the circumstances or people involved. When you leave it up to God to pay you back, you take the high road, respond in love, and watch what God will do. Remember, God always pays back abundantly.

So I got this little book thing for my birthday, yeah? And it's titled Your Best Life Begins Each Morning: Devotions to start every day of the year. I actually really like it. Well, today's devotion is "Doing right when it hurts." I found today's to be very interesting. Haha.. What do you think?
